Eleusis is a unique and thought-provoking card game for 4 to 8 players that challenges players to use their imagination to deduce a secret rule set by the dealer “aka God”. Played with a standard 52-card deck, the game focuses on logical reasoning and pattern recognition.

The dealer creates a secret rule dictating which cards can be played legally, such as “cards must alternate in color” or “even cards follow odd cards.” Players take turns playing cards face up in a sequence, trying to follow the rule. If a card doesn’t fit the rule, the dealer rejects it, and the player draws a penalty card.

Players can attempt to declare themselves the “prophet” by explaining the rule and proving they can predict future plays. Points are scored for correctly following or deducing the rule and for the dealer if their rule is not discovered by the end of the round.

Eleusis combines creativity, logic, and strategy, making it a fascinating game for those who enjoy puzzles and problem-solving.
