Egyptian Rat Screw, also known as “Slap” or “ERF,” is a fast-paced and energetic card game for 2 or more players, played with a standard 52-card deck. The objective is to win all the cards in the deck by capturing piles during gameplay.
Players take turns playing cards face up in a central pile. If a face card or Ace is played, the next player must respond by playing a specific number of cards (e.g., one card for an Ace, two for a King, three for a Queen, and four for a Jack). If they fail to play another face card or Ace, the previous player captures the pile.
The game’s excitement comes from “slapping.” Certain combinations, such as doubles (two cards of the same rank) or sandwiches (a pair separated by one card), allow players to slap the pile. The first to slap correctly wins the pile, but incorrect slaps result in penalties. Similar to slap jack.
Egyptian Rat Screw is fast, chaotic, and fun, combining reflexes, observation, and a touch of luck for a lively gameplay experience.
