Thirty-one is a gambling card game played by two to seven people, where players attempt to assemble a hand which totals 31. Each player starts with 3 chips or dollars in front of them. Each player is then dealt three cards. Starting to the left of the dealer each person picks up from the stack or the discard pile, then discards. When players feel they have 3 suited cards equaling or close to 31, they knock. Everyone else has one turn remaining to make their hand as good as possible. The person with the lowest total had put a dollar in the pot.
