Cribbage is a classic card game for 2 to 4 players, typically played with a standard 52-card deck and a distinctive cribbage board for scoring. The objective is to be the first player to reach 121 points (or 61 in a shorter game) by creating scoring combinations during play and in hand evaluation.  Each round, players play cards until the total of those cards reaches 31.

The game has two main phases:

1. The Play: Players take turns playing cards, aiming to make combinations like pairs, runs, or totals of 15.
2. The Show: Players score their hands and the “crib” (an extra hand for the dealer), focusing on pairs, runs, flushes, and combinations totaling 15.

Points are tracked on the cribbage board, with pegs marking progress. Cribbage blends strategy, counting skills, and a bit of luck, making it a timeless and engaging game for players of all ages.
